What Is ETP

  • ETP (Employment Training Panel) is a State of California program established in 1983
  • ETP is funded by your company’s tax dollars. A portion of UI tax is set aside for ETP general fund
  • ETP allocates funding to companies who go through a proposal process leading to a contract
  • ETP funding is performance based. Funding is earned by your company on a trainee by trainee basis.

The State of California assists employers in strengthening their competitive edge by providing funds to off-set the costs of job skills training necessary to maintain high-performance workplaces. This is a phenomenal way to get your employees trained in specific areas for little to zero cost to your business.  These funds can be used to train new hires, incumbent employees, and veterans.  The Leadership Source has been approved by the State to deliver training for your business through our contract.

ETP Employer Eligibility

Employment Training Panel (ETP) funding is available to those businesses that:

  • Are in business for profit
  • Employ 50 or more full time employees
  • Don’t have a higher than 20% turnover rate for prior calendar year
  • Participates in 2 or more class days within the next 6 months
  • Sign an ETP Certification Statement
  • Provide sensitive employee data
  • Aren’t currently participating in any other ETP contract(s)
